THE SPRING OF OUR DISCONTENT; NEW THT SINGLE, TOUR, SHOWS + MORE

Thank you so much for all of the support recently, it’s very much appreciated. We hosted a benefit show for Dundee Refugee Support at Conroy’s Basement on Friday night and it was an absolute banger. Together we raised £151 for Dundee Refugee Support and enjoyed teeth-rattling sets from the mighty Kaddish, Irish blackened punks Absolutist, Dundee stoner legends Indica and Fife newcomers Black Mirror. It was a total belter, thanks so much to everyone who came out. Hardcore against immiseration indeed.

Huge thanks also to everyone who has picked up copies of our latest releases over the last month or so. We are almost sold out of pink copies of the incredible “Bad Driving” LP from Amsterdam punk rock’n’rollers Black Volvo, although we still have a bunch of copies on classic black wax and on CD. We also still have some copies of the rad “Float” EP from Copenhagen pop-punkers Forever Unclean on beautiful orange vinyl. We love seeing evidence of our releases in the wild so thanks to everyone who has posted pics online, we’re stoked that you’re stoked!

Cheers also to Jack at Punk Rock Demonstration in Los Angeles for his support recently and for spinning “Take Your Pills” by Goodbye Blue Monday on his show. We’re absolutely blown away by the positive response to “The Sickness, The Shame” and we are very proud to have been involved in such a cathartic release. “Held In Merciful Light” by Clearer The Sky has also been nominated for The SAY Award, so it’s pretty exciting to see the punks getting some recognition from the mainstream music press!

The full 96 release MTAT back catalogue is currently available for download for £46 from our Bandcamp page. To those who’ve downloaded recently, we can’t thank you enough.

NEW TRAGICAL HISTORY TOUR MUSIC
Single, music video + tour!

Come On Home, Hero” is the first single taken from the forthcoming “Aphorisms” LP from Tragical History Tour and will be released on Friday 14th April through MTAT and Aaahh!!! Real Records. Written the day after the Brexit referendum and premiered on Punktastic the day Article 50 was triggered, “Come On Home, Hero” is a caustic hook-laden howl of frustration at a world dispossessed of logic and an angst-ridden sing-a-long burst of furious acoustic cowpunk rage.

We also released the very first Tragical History Tour music video to go with the single on Friday. Created by our comrade Gone Wishing Art, performed by Tragical History Tour and recorded/mixed/mastered by John Harcus, you can check the video out on Cowpunk TV on YouTube here;

The single will be available on limited edition one-sided white flexi 7″ vinyl with digital download code (including B-sides), as a three-track CD and as a digital download. Preorders are available now from both MTAT (here) and Aaahh!!! Real Records (here).

Tragical History Tour will also be out on the road starting this Friday in Cambridge. Be sure to stop by the merch table at all shows and pick up a copy of the single and some banging records from the distro!

MORE SHOWS!!!

Friday 28th April; Billy Liar, The Valens, Brian Curran, Josef Lawrence & The Hypocrites. Conroy’s Basement, Dundee. Doors at 7.30pm. Fiver advanced, six on doors. Should be a total zinger and we’re very excited to see our pal Billy back in Dundee for the first time since Book Yer Ane Fest.

The troops in PMX are off on another European adventure this May. Keep your eyes on their page for further announcements and more details coming real soon. If ye haven’t got a copy of their amazing “Dark Days” EP yet, we’d suggest ye remedy that as numbers are running low. New LP in the works too!

Saturday 13th May; BASEMENT PUNKS ALL-DAYER (Tins For Tunes to support Dundee Foodbank) w/ Airstream Futures (USA), Forever Unclean (Denmark, 7″ launch party!), Terrafraid (“Contentment” album launch party), Elk Gang, Goodbye Blue Monday, Bird Law, John Wheels + The Ground We Tread. A whole day of DIY punk rock goodness to support local people in crisis. Eight quid advanced, which we’d recommend as this is likely to sell out. Tenner on doors otherwise.

Advanced e-tickets for all shows can be found here.

Incoming shows; PMX, Get It Together, Grand Collapse (Wales), Boak, Kamikaze Girls (England), Nervus (England), Medictation (Canada/England), Book Yer Ane Fest XI (Friday 1st – Sunday 3rd December 2017; venues booked, full details soon!) plus loads more to come.

Oh, we’re hawking leftover shirts for a fiver so go grab one if ye fancy. As always, cool free shit with all orders hand-packed by our pals at Cowpunk HQ. Flexis and MTAT HXC Cross shirts will be shipping shortly, thanks for your patience!

You are all lovely humans, have an awesome week.
BE RADICAL, SPREAD JOY.
