Clearer The Sky – “Held In Merciful Light”
We are very excited about the imminent release of the long-awaited “Held In Merciful Light” LP from Aberdeen post-hardcore/screamo punks Clearer The Sky. In collaboration with Rage HC, Crust Baby Records, Wolf Town DIY and Rubyaiat Records, the album will be released on limited edition yellow vinyl and digital download on Friday 5th August with the tape version being released by Coercion Cassettes.

The record is currently available for pre-order from our Bandcamp page. You can also stream the tracks “Pirriesmill” and “Gold Dissolved in the Oceans” here. Keep your eyes on Idioteq.com for an exclusive full stream coming next week.

The LP release show will be held that same night at Conroy’s Basement in Dundee alongside kindred spirits In Tongues (playing their last ever Dundee show), Bed Of Wasps and Stonethrower. Records will be available for collection/purchase on the night.

We’ve also announced plans for a forthcoming split release featuring Dundee’s own homegrown art-pop punks Terrafraid and Massachusetts moody indie rockers Modern Lives. The EP will be released in collaboration with US indie label Geneva Records and will be available on CDEP, cassette tape and digital download.

We’ll be hosting the Dundee leg of the release party on Monday 19th September when we welcome New Orleans emo punks Donovan Wolfington and their hometown pals Caddywhompus to Dundee for their first ever Scottish shows. This premier league triumvirate will be joined by lofi acoustic pop punker A Hopeless Cause for what should be an absolute zinger of a show in the basement.
